Week In Rewind With Midwest Life And Style
The weekend is here, and you know what that means! It’s time for the latest week in rewind!
So grab a cup of holiday cheer, get cozy, and let’s catch up on everything that happened this week on the blog.
Tidbits From Home
Between work and home, this week felt a bit hectic. Did anyone else feel the same?
I’d be lying if I didn’t say that the holiday hustle has me feeling overwhelmed. I still need to finish shopping and do some baking. And I haven’t wrapped one single gift. (Wrapping procrastinators unite!)
Here’s hoping I can get a few more things crossed off the to-do list this weekend.
Our last Christmas tree is up, albeit not decorated. But I love the simplicity of the bare tree with the twinkling lights. Especially with the addition of some new clip-on candles.
I also spent some time snapping a few pics for a candlelight home tour that I’ll be sharing later next week. Here’s a little peek at one of the photos I took.
And our week ended with more basketball. Peyton’s team has run up against some tough competition in the last few games. Hopefully, they can add another “W” to the win column before the holiday break.
My Favorite Finds
This pendant necklace would make a great last-minute gift.
I got this charging station for my teen daughter last year and it’s awesome!
These would be great stocking stuffers for any of the guys on your Christmas list.
I love this pretty and festive sweater.
This will help make your old sweaters look brand new!

This Week On The Blog
This week on the blog, I shared two new posts, including the recipe for one of my favorite holiday treats, peanut butter balls. There isn’t a better combination than chocolate and peanut butter, is there?
They’re super easy to make, but hard to stay away from! I may or may not have eaten half of the pan myself. Good thing Christmas calories don’t count. (Wink, wink.)
Fifteen friends also joined me to share recipes for their favorite holiday cookies and treats. I can’t wait to try each one!
If you missed out, click here to see each post and pin the recipes to save them for later.
This week I also shared a roundup of festive decor to style a hot cocoa bar at home.
This photo is from the hot cocoa bar I set up in our dining room a few Christmases ago. The girls loved it so much. I should set up another one soon!
Stop by my original post to see more and don’t forget to grab my free hot cocoa bar printables, too.
And while we’re talking about hot cocoa, these DIY hot cocoa bombs are fun to make. It’s an easy holiday activity to do with kids, and they make great homemade gifts.
Coming Next Week To MWLS
Next week will be our final supper club of 2022! It hardly seems possible that the new year is creeping up so quickly.
In addition to a cozy winter tablescape, I’m sharing an easy recipe that’s perfect for your next dinner party, or even a date night in. And I’ll have some thrifty decorating ideas you can use all year long!
I look forward to having you join me on the blog next week to see more.
