Week In Rewind With Midwest Life And Style
There was a lot of Christmas cheer happening on the blog this week, including tree-decorating tips, and my holiday house tour. And, if that’s enough, I’ve rounded up all the best seasonal DIYs, recipes, and decorating ideas from some of my blogging friends.
So grab a cup of holiday cheer, get cozy, and let’s catch up with the latest week in rewind.
Tidbits From Home
I want to start by saying thank you to everyone who sent messages and checked in on me last week while I battled a nasty cold. Thankfully I’m feeling much better, and I rallied just in time to enjoy a date night with my hubby at the Pentatonix concert last Saturday night.
The concert was amazing and the perfect way to officially kick off the holiday season.
This week we also started the high school basketball season AND began practice for club volleyball. Needless to say, there was a lot of time spent playing chauffeur between all the different sporting events (and Harper’s dance classes too!)
Peyton’s team played their first game on Thursday night and picked up the “W” in a close one. It was a fun game to watch, and I’m excited to see her team continue to gel and improve as the season goes on.
My Favorite Finds
These Santa mugs are perfect for Christmas.
I added these cozy holiday sheets to our bed.
Our dining room area rug is back in stock and available in multiple sizes.
These booties care so cute and come in several colors.
I snagged this for myself on Cyber Monday.
Latest Loves on Amazon
I’ve been adding new things as I’m able, including some cute finds for a cozy hot cocoa bar at home. Stop by to see all my faves on my Amazon storefront here.
This Week On The Blog
To start off the week, I shared all about our cozy holiday bedroom and my tips for how to decorate a flocked Christmas tree.
There’s truly nothing better than waking up to this view each morning. I’m going to miss it once Christmas is over!
On Tuesday I shared my red and white holiday home tour. Home tours are some of my favorite posts to prepare for the blog, and the Christmas one is my favorite!
Thirty-four other bloggers joined the tour, so there is no shortage of holiday inspiration. If you missed any of the homes, be sure to take some time to go and visit each one. All of the tours are linked at the bottom of my original post.
And to round out the week, I shared a collection of nine different ideas for decorating your Christmas tree. Each one is so unique and beautiful. If you haven’t decorated your tree, stop by the post and take a peek. Or get ideas and pin your favorites to save for inspiration next Christmas.
Coming Next Week To MWLS
Next week is shaping up to be another fun week! First, on Tuesday, I’m joining some of my friends for a virtual holiday treat exchange. I’ve seen a sneak peek at all the recipes, and if you love sweets as much as I do, you won’t want to miss them!
Later in the week, I hope to share a roundup of more affordable holiday decor AND some gift-wrapping ideas with a new free printable for you (if I can get my ducks in a row). Stay tuned!
