Week In Rewind With Midwest Life And Style
Happy Sunday, friends, and happy Halloween eve!
It was another busy week here with three new posts. I shared a simple and rustic DIY cornucopia centerpiece, tips for hosting a Friendsgiving get-together, and a brunch menu with recipes that would be perfect for all your upcoming holiday gatherings.
As always, I’ve linked each post below plus I’ve rounded up some of the best ideas and inspiration from a few of my favorite blogging friends.
So get cozy, grab a cup of coffee, settle in, and let’s catch up!
Tidbits From Home
It was a gorgeous week here in Nebraska, but the giant pile of leaves in our front yard is a gentle reminder that fall is slowly coming to a close.
For now, I’m perfectly content to soak up every second. I know the holiday season (and cold, winter weather) will be here soon.
Peyton’s volleyball season came to an end this past Tuesday at districts. Despite the game not turning out how we had hoped, it was fun to see the team grow and improve throughout the year.
Now it’s on to club season and our first year of high school basketball. I see a lot more concession stand dinners of hotdogs and popcorn in the near future. Ha!
To cap off the week, the girls and I cheered on the Nebraska volleyball team. The game atmosphere is so much fun and second to none! If you’re a fan of college sports, you need to add attending a game at the Devaney Sports Center to the top of your bucket list.
My mom and one of my nieces even came down to join us. It was the perfect way to spend a Saturday night with some of my favorite people.

These mugs would make a cute holiday gift for a teacher, friend, or co-worker.

Thanks so much for the shout out about my pumpkin centerpiece! I loved seeing the pictures of you and your girls all decked out for Nebraska. I went to wichita State University and my sorority pledge class sneak was up to Lincoln where I had my first “legal” drink…the drinking age was lower in Nebraska than Kansas!
