Week In Rewind With Midwest Life And Style
Happy Saturday, friends! The temps really cooled down in Nebraska this week. It feels more and more like fall each day, and I love it! I even broke down earlier this week and turned on the furnace for the first time this season. A sure sign that the holidays aren’t too far behind!
I know a few stores are already stocking the shelves with Christmas decor, but I’m content to hang on to fall for a while longer.
This week I shared a new no-bake dessert recipe and a round-up of some seasonal DIYs. If you missed either post, I’ve linked them both below, along with ideas and inspiration from a few of my friends.
So get cozy, settle in, and catch up for a new week in rewind.
Tidbits From Home
With the drop in temps, the trees in our yard have really started to show off their fall colors. And I’m not mad about it!
Our massive red maple is beautiful, and I love coming home to this view at the end of each workday. Until all the leaves drop. Then I love it a little less. But there’s no doubt about whose yard has the best leaf-jumping piles in the cul-de-sac!
Peyton’s high school volleyball season is coming to a close. Her team played their last regular season game on Thursday and will wrap up with conference and district play over the next few weeks.
It’s been a season filled with ups, downs, and all of the emotions. But that seems to be how almost any sport goes. It’s been so fun to see her grow, and we’re already looking forward to the upcoming club season. And her first year of high school basketball too!
And I wonder why it feels like we live in our car and on concession stand hotdogs for dinner…ha!
My Favorite Finds
These copper mugs are perfect for fall.
This flannel shacket is so cute and super cozy looking.
If you need a new tree this Christmas, this one has great reviews and a good price for the quality!

My favorite food storage containers are perfect for leftover soups and casseroles.

Coming Next Week To MWLS
Next week will be busy with three new posts coming your way. On Tuesday, I’ll be sharing tips for styling a small front porch for fall. Then on Wednesday, I plan to share some early Thanksgiving ideas and inspiration.
And if that isn’t enough, I’m working on a new fall cocktail recipe that’s delicious and made with only two ingredients!
