Week In Rewind With Midwest Life And Style
Happy Sunday, friends. What a week it’s been! Let’s jump right into it, shall we? Here’s a recap of everything you may have missed this week at MWLS.
Tidbits From Home
Maybe it’s the excessive pollen count. Or maybe there are some serious germs going around right now. Maybe it’s both?!?
Whatever the case, I’ve been down and out with a nasty head cold since Monday.
I’m so blessed to have a trio of excellent nurses at home who’ve taken good care of me.
And puppy snuggles always help, don’t they?
Our sweet peekapoo, Sadie, kept me company while I took a few days off of work to rest and get well.
My Favorite Finds
I’ve been making a wish list of new staples for my spring wardrobe. At the top of the list are these white sneakers. They’re perfect for all of our long sports-filled weekends and they go with everything.
Also on my list? This comfy lounge set, these basic pocket T’s, and these distressed jeans.
This Week at MWLS
With three new posts, it was a busy week here on the blog!
I kicked things off on Tuesday by sharing my spring home tour. Last year’s spring tour was all about bright, bold colors. This year, I opted to keep things a bit more light and airy.
I look forward to these tours each season, and I hope you enjoy them too! The latest tour features more than 25 bloggers and is jam-packed with DIY and decor ideas to help you get ready for spring.
This week, I also joined my friends from supper club for the newest installment of our monthly two-part series.
If you’re new to our supper club parties, each month we share a themed tablescape and matching menu.
This month we shared tips and ideas for how to host an Easter brunch. If you need help planning your holiday meal, be sure to stop by the party and join us!
Phew! If you’re still with me after reading this week’s recap, THANK YOU! And, if you missed out on any of my new posts, I hope you can find a bit of time to catch up below.
Light And Airy Spring Home Tour
Spring has sprung! If you need some inspiration for the season, step inside and join me for my light and airy home tour.
The tour showcases four rooms in our home, including our never before seen, living room.
Set A Charming Easter Table
Styling a beautiful tablescape doesn’t have to cost a lot of money. You can use everyday decor to recreate this classic look and set a charming table for Easter brunch this year.
Join me and my friends from supper club for more tips and inspiration for how to style your holiday table.
Cheesy Hash Brown Casserole
When it comes to side dishes, the recipe for this no-fail cheesy hash brown casserole is simply the best.
This tried and true recipe is another favorite that I’ve made for years. It’s from one of those old hometown church cookbooks, so you know it’s good!
What’s Coming Next
Next week I’m going to slow things down a bit. But don’t worry! I still have a new project to share. Join me next Thursday to see how I gave a family heirloom new life…and all for less than $10!

Spring Tablescape
Is this not the cutest spring tablescape you’ve seen? It’s from my friend Cindy at County Road 407.
You know how much I’m crushing on bunny decor this spring, so of course, these adorable tin molds have my heart.
