Week In Rewind With Midwest Life And Style
Happy Sunday, friends! It was a busy week here on the blog with three new posts, so let’s get right to it. Grab your favorite beverage, settle in and get cozy. It’s time to catch up with a new week in rewind.
Tidbits From Home

It was an eventful weekend at our house. On Friday, Peyton attended her first high school homecoming dance.

As she approaches 15, I’m glad she still likes to spend time with her momma (most of the time anyway) and asked me to help her get ready.

Then yesterday, Harper had her very first volleyball “tournament.” 8-year-old volleyball is quite comical to watch. But it’s also fun to see them play with such joy, which is what sports is supposed to be all about.

And I finally finished decorating for fall, just in time to share my home tour with you on Tuesday. Here’s another quick sneak peek I snapped last night.
My Favorite Finds
These french onion soup bowls.
This cozy plaid throw blanket.
This overnight weekender bag.
These food storage containers for your pantry.
This faux olive tree.

This Week On The Blog
This week I shared three new posts filled with ideas for the fall.

First, on Tuesday, I shared how to make easy 5-minute coastal napkin ring holders with supplies from the Dollar Store.

On Thursday, I carried the coastal theme through to this month’s supper club theme with a coastal-inspired fall tablescape.
This is the first time I’ve used blue in my fall decor and I think it may just be my new favorite autumn accent color!

And, if you missed yesterday’s post, I shared a brand new recipe for our supper club menu that’s perfect for those cool, fall days. With tender bits of chicken and loads of hearty vegetables, this creamy chicken and corn chowder is the perfect cozy comfort food.
To add a bit of a twist, we’re making this month’s super club a friendly competition with a chowder cook-off.
If you haven’t voted yet, click the link to the recipe above and visit my post. Check out each of the chowder recipes we shared. Then vote by leaving a comment with the recipe you think would taste the best. We’ll tally the votes between all the bloggers, and I’ll share the winner of the chowder cook-off in next week’s rewind post.
Coming Next Week To MWLS
Next week is home tour week here on the blog, and it’s something that I look forward to each year. Join me on Tuesday for a peek into our fall home. I’ll be sharing our dining room, entry, and living room. I hope you’ll stop by and join me to get inspired for the season.
