Week In Rewind With Midwest Life And Style
Happy Sunday, friends! It’s time for the latest week in rewind. So grab your favorite beverage and let’s catch up on everything that happened this week here on the blog.
Tidbits From Home
After another week of relentless heat, it finally felt like fall yesterday, and I LOVED it! I’ll take cool and rainy over 95 degrees any day.
Yesterday we also spent the day at a volleyball tournament in Kearney, cheering on Peyton and her teammates. They played some tough competition but still brought home some hardware after finishing second in the silver bracket.
And remember those bins full of fall decor that I mentioned last week? I moved them from the living room into the dining room, but you guys. That’s as far as I made it. I still haven’t decorated for fall yet!
We’ve been so busy with something almost every day and night. I just haven’t found the extra time or energy needed to get my booty in gear.
I’m telling myself that this week will be the week I get it done! (Or so I hope.)
My Favorite Finds
I love this adorable fall accent rug.
This neutral fall wreath is on my wish list.
This dutch oven is perfect for comfort food season.
Slippers like these are my go-to in the chilly fall and winter months.
This flannel shacket looks so cozy and comes in multiple colors.

This Week On The Blog
Last week I shared that my goal was to write five new posts this week, and including today’s recap, I did it!
On Monday I shared a round-up of some of the best neutral and affordable fall decor from Amazon.
Then, on Tuesday, I joined some friends to share fall decor ideas for under $25. This DIY pumpkin luminary cost me about $15 to make, and I love how it looks on our porch. I may try making more with some real pumpkins for Halloween.
On Thursday I shared nine simple ideas for decorating your porch or entry for fall. If you’re ready to bust out the mums and pumpkins, be sure to check out all of the festive inspiration.
And, in case you missed it, yesterday I joined the ladies of Welcome Home Saturday as a guest host.
WHS is a weekly home decor digest that’s filled with seasonal decorating ideas, DIYs, recipes, and so much more!
This was my sixth time hanging out with the ladies of Welcome Home Saturday, and it’s always an honor to join them. If you didn’t see the post, be sure to give it a read to see what all of the other ladies were up to this week.
Coming Next Week To MWLS
Next week I’m going to work on catching my breath a bit, but I hope to put together another round-up filled with more fall decor inspiration on Tuesday. I look forward to sharing it with you then!
