Week In Rewind With Midwest Life And Style
Happy Saturday, friends, and welcome to this edition of the Week in Rewind. Whether you’ve stopped by before or you’re brand new to my blog, I’m genuinely happy to have you, and I’m so glad you chose to spend a bit of your time with me here at MWLS.
Let’s jump right into, shall we? Here’s a recap of everything that happened this past week.
Tidbits From Home
I love that I get to share with you here on the blog each week. But did you know that I’m also a full-time event planner? I spent the last few days in Colorado where I helped host an event at Union Station in downtown Denver.
The event was a big success, but wow am I exhausted!
Between daylight savings time and the change in time zones I barely feel like I know what day it is, let alone the time. I love to travel, but it always feels good to be home.
Speaking of home, my oldest is finally back from her class trip to Washington D.C. and Philadelphia. She called it “the trip of a lifetime”. It makes my momma heart so incredibly happy that she was able to have this opportunity to spread her wings and explore.
My Favorite Finds
It’s supposed to reach 70 degrees here tomorrow. And I can’t wait to get out and dig in the dirt again. This is the first year in as long as I can remember that I didn’t buy any seed starts for our garden.
With everything going on at work and home something had to give. And this year, that something was my garden.
I still plan to buy a few things from the nursery, when the time comes. But it’s too risky to plant much of anything here in Nebraska until early May.
There’s an old wives’ tale that says it’s best to wait until Mother’s Day weekend to avoid any chance of a late frost. So, until then, these faux spring bulbs and these gorgeous silk tulips are bringing me joy.
And this faux fern is so good. It looks like the real deal!

I love these bunnies that I purchased from Pottery Barn a few years ago. Because does anything say spring more than bunnies?
Even on sale, they were a bit of an investment. Now, you can get the look for less with my DIY Pottery Barn bunny dupe.
You won’t believe how easy it is!
