Week In Rewind With Midwest Life And Style
Hello, friends, and happy Saturday! Things are finally slowing down a bit, which means I had some more time to share a couple of new posts here on the blog.
So let’s get right to it! Here’s the latest edition of the week in rewind.
Tidbits From Home
We’re heading into the home stretch! Next week is the last week of school (hallelujah), and our time in the evenings has started to free up significantly.
Thanks to all of this newfound “free time”, I was able to get all of the flowers on our porch and patio potted.
Looking back at my planters over the last few years, it’s become clear that purple is my go-to color.
So it shouldn’t come as a shock that I included purple accents in all of my potted containers again this year. I guess when you know what you love, you just know.
I also spent a lot of time this week weeding, transplanting, and thinning some of my perennials. (Shoutout to my hubby for all of his help with some of the digging and heavy lifting!)
We still need to lay fresh mulch and trim all of our shrubs, but it’s finally starting to look and feel like summer is almost here.
My Favorite Finds
I bought these urn planters for our front porch. I love that look like stone, but are very lightweight and weather-resistant!
My sunglasses bit the dust a few days ago, so these budget-friendly replacements are currently in my cart.
I’m in love with the colors in this pretty shadow palette.
