Tidbits from Home
Last weekend, we had the windows open, and it finally felt like fall.
But summer decided to make a comeback this week with temps in the 80s and 90s, so we reluctantly turned the AC back on.
Despite the heat, I finally finished my fall decorating!
I kept things pretty minimal and simple this year.
Between volleyball games and a few college visits, we won’t be home much in October to enjoy it anyway, so I thought I’d keep it easy and make packing it all away quicker when it’s time for Christmas decor.
Of course, I forgot to take photos like I promised you last weekend, except for these ones in our living room.
I moved my DIY ghost under a cloche to the coffee table for a fun, spooky touch in our space!
I also added a few simple touches to our fireplace mantel, including a small berry and pumpkin pip garland, some vintage accents, and one of my favorite signs from fellow Midwesterner and artist Brittany at Currently Chic.
Saturday was homecoming for Peyton, so most of the day was spent getting her ready.
She went with a big group of her high school volleyball teammates, and we had a fun photo shoot before they headed out for dinner and the dance.
I can’t believe how grown up (or how tall) she’s gotten, and it’s hard to wrap my head around the fact that she only has one more year at home.
(Cue the tears!)

This fall serving piece is on my wish list!
Speaking of the holidays, if you like to plan ahead, World Market has some super cute Christmas items that would make perfect hostess gifts, teacher gifts, or presents for friends and co-workers. Plus, they’re having Deal Days where you can save $5 for every $20 you spend sitewide!
This fall baking dish is perfect for entertaining and comes in three beautiful colors!
How cute is this adorable pumpkin pillow? It’s a lookalike for the popular Pottery Barn version, but it’s priced at less than a third of the cost!
