Tidbits from Home
Kirk and I celebrated a big milestone this weekend – our 18th wedding anniversary!
It’s crazy to realize that between dating and marriage, we’ve been together for over half of our adult lives.
We opted for a cozy date night dinner at home, but we’re planning a belated celebration after the holiday.
Peyton had surgery on her left foot this Tuesday.
It’s been a long road to recovery since her injury back in April, but she’s finally glad to have the operation done and focus on getting healthy again.
The doctor gave good news – everything went well!
Now, Peyton’s hoping to be back in time for most of her junior year volleyball season.
Unfortunately, her surgeon didn’t clear her for flying, so we can’t join her team in Vegas for nationals.
But there is a silver lining.
We’ll be hitting the road to spend the Fourth of July with my family.
The 4th is one of my all-time favorite holidays, and celebrating in my small hometown is a family tradition.
I’m really looking forward to it and will share photos from our little road trip next week!
