Tidbits from Home
Even though school’s out, our family’s been on the go, which is why I missed writing last week’s recap post.
Last weekend was all about Harper’s dance recital!
We spent most of Friday in dress rehearsals and then she performed three dances each day in back-to-back shows on Saturday and Sunday.
It was a whirlwind, but so much fun to see her on stage, and it was wonderful having my parents and Kirk’s parents in town to cheer Harper on.
While Harper and I were busy with dance, Kirk and Peyton were in Lawrence, Kansas, for a volleyball tournament
Unfortunately, Peyton’s still recovering from a high ankle sprain she suffered in late April.
We were hopeful she’d be cleared to play, but an MRI in early June revealed ligament damage requiring surgery.
It’s been a tough few weeks waiting for updates and approvals, and Peyton’s understandably devastated.
The good news is, her surgery is finally scheduled for June 25th!
We’d really appreciate your prayers and well wishes for a smooth recovery so she can get back on the court as soon as possible, hopefully in time for most of her junior year season.
