Tidbits from Home
Are you feeling the “Maycember” madness?
For those of you drowning in chaos, this funny video from The Holderness Family perfectly captures the craziness of this month for our family.
Peyton’s injury meant our sports calendar calmed down a lot, but all the “lasts” for the end of the school year are keeping us running.
Peyton has a doctor’s appointment tomorrow…fingers crossed they give her the okay to ditch the walking boot and finally start physical therapy on her ankle.
In the meantime, this week is packed with two art shows and Harper’s final student council meeting.
Next week, Harper has her spring orchestra and choir concert, and we’ll have the end-of-the-year track banquet for Peyton soon.
And of course, we’ll have several graduation parties to attend, with a wedding thrown in the mix too!
I’ll share more photos next week, so stay tuned.
Until then, wish me luck…I’ll be stocking up on alllll the coffee and Diet Dr Pepper to keep me going!

Tips, Ideas, and Inspiration from Around the Web
DIY Decoupage Cans
This gorgeous trash to treasure craft idea is from my friend Crissy at First Day of Home.
Crissy used her cans for craft room storage, but I think they would make beautiful vases, or even a fun (and affordable!) idea for teacher appreciate gifts.
You could fill them with a coffee gift card, some candy, or whatever you think your student’s teacher would like!
Stop by Crissy’s blog to read her easy step-by-step tutorial.
Caesar Pasta Salad
I’m obsessed with summer salads, so when I saw this Caesar pasta salad recipe from my friend Nicolle at Our Tiny Nest, I knew I had to share it.
It seems like the perfect way to get all the flavors of a Caesar salad but in a cool, and refreshing pasta dish.
I can’t wait to try it!
You can find the recipe over on, Nicolle’s blog, and be sure to tell her that Jen set you.
How to Decorate with Vintage Baskets
If you’ve ever attended one of my virtual supper club parties here on the blog, then you’ve likely met my friend Rachel from The Ponds Farmhouse.
I love Rachel’s collected style, including all her charming vintage and thrifted finds.
Stop by Rachel’s blog to see her collection of simple and beautiful ideas for styling vintage baskets throughout your home.
Even More Ideas to Inspire You

You sure have been a busy mama! The end of the year is always full of lots of activities. I hope Peyton is out of the boot and feeling better soon. I have worn that boot way too many times, and it is not fun. Thank you for sharing my sweet little napkin rings. You are the best.t
midwestlifeandstyle says
Thank you, Wendy. She’s stuck in the boot for the rest of May, but hopefully she’ll get cleared at her next appointment in early June. And you are so very welcome. Always happy to share.
