Tidbits from Home
I don’t know about you, but I can’t believe Easter is already next weekend!
Every year, I promise myself that I’ll get ahead of the game, but somehow I always find myself scrambling to put together baskets and finalize holiday plans.
Does that happen to anyone else?
I managed to sneak in a shopping trip on Monday morning to grab a few things for the girls’ Easter baskets.
I got some of their favorite snacks, and I also snagged a few small Easter basket stuffers as well.
If you’re still looking for items to fill your Easter baskets, hop on over to my Amazon store for some affordable ideas.
Some things are also on sale right now with Amazon’s Big Spring Sale that runs through March 25th!
On Thursday Peyton competed in her second track meet of the season, and right after we immediately headed north to Minneapolis for a club volleyball tournament.
It’s been a fun, but long weekend!
Her team has two more matches scheduled today to wrap up the weekend.
We’re taking a quick breather from traveling over Easter weekend, but then it’s back on the road for another tournament in Kansas City!
Our spring travel schedule is pretty packed, so if you notice fewer updates on the blog until the end of April, you’ll know why!

Need an easy side dish for Easter?
This creamy broccoli salad with raisins and bacon is a hit in our family and a must-have on our dining room table for every holiday celebration.
Tossed with a sweet dressing and a sprinkling of crunchy sunflower seeds, this salad bursts with flavor and texture.
This week I also updated an Easter post from a few years ago about styling a garden-inspired place setting.
I think this is one of my favorite Easter tablescape looks, and could easily be recreated without spending a lot of time or money!
Coming Soon to MWLS
Next week, I’m sharing some last-minute Easter ideas, like setting up a beautiful table and creating a simple, affordable centerpiece. So, stay tuned!

Harper with the blue lips is killing me, Jen. Your girls are so grown and I can’t even take it! I’m glad you guys are able to make such fun and happy memories together. They will always look back on this time with you and treasure it. Thanks so much for sharing my quick and easy cake idea. It’s wild to me we’re almost finished with the first quarter of the year and that Easter is on Sunday. I swear quick and easy is exactly what I need right now and I’m glad it’s working for you too! Thank you, CoCo. I wish there was a pause button. The girls are growing up too fast. Harper is our goofy girl, so I couldn’t resist sharing this photo. It captures her personality perfectly.
And I’m with you. Quick and easy is all I can handle right now. Thank you for sharing your ideas. Happy Easter!
