Tidbits from Home
This week’s recap is a little later than usual but for a good reason!
Normally, I spend Saturdays wrapping up this post, but this weekend was Harper’s belated 10th birthday celebration, so we had a special date day.
We’ve been trying to focus more on making memories instead of just buying stuff for our girls, and after Peyton got to do something big for her 10th birthday, it was Harper’s turn.
These photos are of Peyton and me six years ago at Taylor Swift’s Reputation Tour in Kansas City.
Harper decided she wanted something a bit different – a “staycation” here in town, so that’s exactly what we did.
Luckily, Saturday was a rare free day for our family, so I snagged tickets to see Shrek the Musical!
Before the show, we enjoyed shopping and lunch.
Post-musical, we treated ourselves to a Crumbl cookie for dessert before heading home for a pizza dinner with Kirk and Peyton.
Then Harper and I went downtown for a special overnight stay at a hotel, just the two of us.
We watched movies and had a spa night with manicures, face masks, and all her favorite snacks.
She couldn’t stop telling me how much fun she had, but honestly, I think I may have enjoyed it even more!
It was exactly what I needed after a long stressful few weeks of work to recharge and refuel.

This Week on the Blog
I spent most of this past week working on some updates behind the scenes, so I didn’t share any new posts.
Instead, I’m sharing a few of my Easter favorites from years past.
This sweet green and white spring tablescape with jadeite and bunnies was one of the first Easter tablescapes I shared here on MWLS, and it’s still a favorite!
You can see the details of this table here, including where to find affordable reproduction jadeite pieces and how to make a DIY dupe of these bunnies.
And, if you’re looking for an easy recipe for your Easter breakfast or brunch menu these bunny cinnamon rolls are quick easy, and always a big hit!
