Other Snack Ideas for Movie Night
When it comes to making a holiday movie night charcuterie board, there’s really no wrong way to go about it.
You can make movie themed food boards to match your favorite holiday movie, like all green snacks for How the Grinch Stole Christmas or a mix of red and white treats for Elf
It’s all about using whatever treats you and your family love most!
If you’re looking for more options, here are a few additional snacks for movie night.
- Chex Mix
- Goldfish Crackers
- Mixed Nuts
- Rice Krispie Treats
- Smores Snack Mix
- Mini Cupcakes
- Holiday Candies (like red and green M&M’s, peppermint bark, or fudge)
- Homemade cookies like double chocolate chip peppermint cookies or other holiday treats like chocolate covered peanut butter balls
Movie Night Snack Tray Ideas: How to Arrange Your Board
To arrange your movie night charcuterie board, work in small sections.
It helps to focus on one area at a time while keeping symmetry and the overall look of the board in mind.
I started with a small glass bowl in the center of the board and added some cinnamon gummy bears for a pop of festive red.
Next, I placed some of the cookies on my snack board starting with the gingerbread and shortbread ones.
I arranged the cookies in opposite corners and worked my way from the outer edges of the tray toward the middle.
Then I filled the remaining two corners with a few man gingerbread cookies and my favorite candy of choice, Twizzlers!
After I finished the corners, I filled the middle of the board with morer seasonal treats from Pepperidge Farm, including raspberry linzer sandwich cookies and peppermint milano slices.
Next, I filled in some empty spaces with a handful of chocolate-covered graham cracker bites, and yogurt-covered pretzel bites.
To wrap up my holiday snack board, I included some salty favorites like pretzel sticks and popcorn. They’re the best snacks for movies and a great addition to any movie night themed party.
Oh, and I snuck in a few more graham cracker bites as well.
Because you can never have too many chocolate goodies, right?
When you’re done building your snack board, don’t forget to pour yourself a cup of warm and cozy holiday cheer.
I love this peppermint mocha recipe made in the slow cooker!
If you’re in the mood for something different, hot chocolate made with DIY cocoa bombs is the perfect holiday drink.
Or, for a festive twist, spiced apple cider is a great choice.

I love this! We have actually already been doing a lot of what I call “snack plate dinners” because our kitchen is being remodeled, so I just stick various fruits, veggies, lunch meats, etc on a plate and call it dinner instead of cooking. Your snack plate is much more beautiful than mine though and I’m sure it makes movie night so special!
