Today is an exciting day here on Midwest Life and Style. Not only am I celebrating my birthday, but it is also the first anniversary of my blog (or my blogiversary, as I have named it)!
The first year of my blogging journey has been such a crazy and wonderful adventure. I have had the opportunity to work with amazing brands like The Home Depot, Pampered Chef, and Ryobi. And, of course, most importantly, connect with each one of you. My readers.

For several years blogging was just a dream. I am so glad I took the leap and turned my dream into a reality. This blog has become a creative outlet for me. A way for me to share my passions and to share what inspires me. But it is so much more than that.
It has become a way to connect with people whom I now call friends. A way for me to challenge myself. And a way for me to show my two girls (and prove to myself) that if you work hard, you can do anything.
I hope that in whatever small way, you find inspiration here too. I look forward to seeing what year number two of blogging has in store. There is so much more to share, so I hope you’ll stick around and join me for all of the new home decor tips, recipes, and DIY projects that are to come.
