Ingredients for Easter Bunny Cinnamon Rolls
- 2 cans store-bought cinnamon rolls with icing (8 rolls per can)
Tip from Jen’s Kitchen: I used my local grocery store’s brand to make my bunny cinnamon rolls, but Pillsbury cinnamon rolls work great too. Almost any brand will do. Just make sure the dough unrolls. That’s the key to shaping the bunny ears!
Equipment Needed
- Baking Sheet
- Pizza Cutter
- Cutting Board
How to Make Easter Bunny Cinnamon Rolls
Here the simple step-by-step instructions to make your own Easter bunny shaped cinnamon rolls.
Step 1: Preheat Your Oven
Preheat your oven to 400°F, and while it heats up, open both cans of cinnamon rolls.
Place 10 rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper (or lightly spray it with non-stick baking spray), then set the rest aside for now.
Step 2: Cut Dough for the Bunny Ear
Now it’s time to give your bunny some ears!

Unroll each of the remaining cinnamon rolls one at a time, then use a pizza cutter to slice it into two equal pieces

Then take each piece and pinch the sides until they meet in the middle to form the ears.

When you’re done, each piece should look like a heart, just like the photo above.
The ears are very easy to shape once you get the hang of them!
Step 3: Form a Bunny Shape
Once all of the bunny ears are formed, attach one pair of ears to each cinnamon roll and gently pat the dough together to secure the pieces.

Step 4: Bake Your Bunny Cinnamon Rolls
Place the baking sheet with the bunnies in the oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.

Step 5: Drizzle with Icing, Serve and Enjoy!
When done, remove the cinnamon rolls from the oven, drizzle with icing, and tada!
Your cinnamon roll bunnies are done and breakfast is served.

Can You Make Easter Bunny Cinnamon Rolls In Advance?
If you want to plan ahead, you can make the bunny shaped rolls and then cover them with plastic wrap.

Keep them in the fridge overnight and then just pop them in the oven when you’re ready to bake them in the morning.

(Just don’t forget to remove the plastic wrap before baking the rolls!)
What to Serve with Your Bunny Cinnamon Rolls
If you’re putting together an Easter breakfast or brunch, these sweet little Easter bunnies go perfectly with a fluffy bacon egg and potato bake or a warm bacon and spinach quiche.
Add a side of fresh berries, or a classic fruit salad for a little something fresh.
And don’t forget a fun drink!
An Easter mocktail or a glass of orange juice would be a delicious addition.
Want to add another sweet treat?
No-bake lemon cheesecake cups, easy carrot cake cupcakes with cream cheese frosting, or homemade chocolate covered strawberries would be the perfect way to round out your meal.
