Decorating With Neutrals – Our Winter Porch
Lately, I noticed the garland from my Christmas porch was looking a little brown and crunchy. So, I decided it was time to make the transition to a more neutral winter look. Today I’m sharing with you how I styled our winter porch in just a few quick and easy steps.

A Simple Winter Look
After Christmas, I opted to keep things more simple for our porch. Just like my winter home decor, I used a lot of neutrals and added a few pops of color with some greenery like these mini cedar trees. These are the same trees and crocks I used at Christmastime. I just removed the red and gold ornaments to give them a new look.

If you’ve seen any of my previous porch posts, then you know that I love the look of layered rugs. Not only does it add a bit of extra texture, but it helps to cover up all of the boring, gray cement! This rug is great for indoors or out. Our front porch is unprotected from the elements, but this rug can handle anything our Midwest weather can dish out. I also used this cute “hi” rug to finish the layered look. You might recognize it from last year’s summer porch. This one is from Hobby Lobby, but I did find a similar one [HERE].

Sticking with my theme of keeping it simple, not much changed on our front door. I love the subtle color of the wreath and the bells against the gray of the door, so I just took the big plaid Christmas bow off of the wreath and that was it. Easy, peasy!

To finish decorating our winter porch I added a few more neutrals, including my favorite metal wall planters filled with greenery.

After adding the wall planters, I felt like the porch still needed a little something, so I added the wood lantern too. I think it fits the theme perfectly, don’t you?

Your porch looks so pretty decorated for winter. I love how you used crocks as pots for your trees.
Thank you, Paula. Would you believe the crocks are from Amazon? I use them almost every season. I love how they look vintage, without having the vintage price tag!
