Beautiful And Festive Christmas Napkin Rings In Under 10 Minutes
I love to create easy DIYs for the holidays, and these festive Christmas napkin rings are as simple as it comes.
Several months ago I found some wood napkin rings at the local Goodwill. They were only a few bucks, so I thought, why not? I bought them, brought them home, and then promptly tossed them in a drawer and forgot about them.
That was until I saw these napkin rings from World Market and was inspired to use my Goodwill finds to make my own.
Supplies for Christmas Napkin Rings
To make a set of napkin rings you’ll need some floral Christmas picks, some wood napkin rings, a glue gun, and a pair of wire cutters.
Supplies
- Wood napkin rings
- Pine greenery picks
- Stain (optional)
Tools
How To Make DIY Christmas Napkin Rings
1 . Stain Wood Napkin Rings
To start I stained my wood napkin rings with a can of stain I had on hand. This step is optional, but I like the finished look that the stain adds.
Once stained, set each of the napkin rings aside for a few minutes to dry.
2 . Cut Greenery
While the stain dries, use a pair of wire cutters to trim a few branches of greenery off of a floral pick.
Trim as many pieces as needed to glue onto each of the napkin rings.
3 . Arrange And Glue On Greenery
Once your glue gun is heated, begin to glue on arrange the pieces of greenery.
Add a small dab of glue to the wood napkin ring. Then carefully add the pieces of greenery one at a time.
Hold the greenery in place until the glue is firm and dry.
It took me a few tries to get the arrangement right on my first napkin ring. If you don’t like how your greenery looks, you can remove the stem. Then peel off the dried glue and re-attach your stems.
Repeat the process as needed for each napkin ring. I used three pieces of greenery for each wood ring, but you can use as many (or as few) as you would like.
Try to overlap the greenery to cover up any of the glue, and if you’d like, you can add a pinecone for an extra wintry touch!
And that’s it! Easy and festive Christmas napkin rings in under 10 minutes.
