Week In Rewind With Midwest Life And Style
Happy Saturday, friends! It’s that time again, so grab yourself a cup of joe and join me for the latest week in rewind.
Tidbits From Home
It was somewhat of a quiet week at home as we transition out of summer break and back into school mode.
I’m still in denial that summer has gone by so quickly, and that I will have a freshman in high school this year! (In addition to a third grader.)
And with summer coming to a close I’m starting to think about fall. I have a few things planned, but I’d love to know what you’re most interested in. Recipes? DIYs? Fall decor? I want to be a helpful and inspiring resource for you, so be sure to let me know in the comments what you’d like to see.
My Favorite Finds
I bought this foldable wagon to take to the zoo last weekend. It’s lightweight and great for hauling coolers and bags. (I even plan to take it on my next big outdoor thrifting adventure!)
This setting spray is one of the most loved items in my makeup bag.
We have these lanterns in our living room and they are currently on CLEARANCE!
I wear these blue light readers often. They come in multiple colors and are a #1 best seller.
I just added this to my Amazon home decor wish list.
And speaking of Amazon…
Did you know I have an Amazon storefront? It’s basically a fancy way of saying that I’ve created a one-stop shop for you with links to all of my favorite finds from Amazon.
I appreciate each time you shop through my links. It doesn’t cost you anything, but it does help me earn a small bit of extra income. Those funds help to keep my blog up and running, so thank you!
If you ever have questions, let me know. I just updated my store with new items including a round-up of some fun and affordable fall and Halloween decor. If you want to see my Amazon storefront you can visit it by clicking here!
This Week On The Blog
This week I took time away from creating new content to get caught up at home. And since my crew will start school again in less than two weeks, I thought it would be fun to share some back-to-school inspiration with you.
Here’s an idea you can try. Start the new school year off right with a simple breakfast bar at home.
I set out a few breakfast foods on our buffet table like cereal, milk, juice, and fruit.
Or you could make a hot breakfast with classics like pancakes, waffles, or my girls’ favorite, warm and gooey monkey bread!
A DIY teacher survival kit filled with useful and practical items is the perfect gift for all of the teacher friends in your life.
And, if you need some easy weeknight meals, check out my round-up of 15 back-to-school dinner ideas.
Even if you don’t have kiddos going back to school, this post is great if you’re looking for some new recipes to try. There are sandwiches, casseroles, and even easy one-pan meals like this skillet lasagna.
Coming Next Week To MWLS
Next week I’m sharing a new recipe that is great for breakfast or an after-school snack. And it’s the perfect way to use up some of that summer harvest from your garden.
Stop by on Tuesday for all of the yummy goodness!
