Week In Rewind With Midwest Life And Style
Happy Sunday, friends! This week was extra busy here on the blog with three new posts. I shared a new recipe, table styling tips for a backyard BBQ, and even a little holiday decor inspiration.
So if you missed out on any of my latest posts, grab yourself a cup of joe and join me for the latest week in rewind.
Tidbits From Home
Yesterday we met up with my sister and her family for a fun day at the Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo.
If you’re not local, or you haven’t been before, I highly recommend it! It’s consistently rated among the top zoos in the country, and there is so much to see and do.
We hadn’t been in a few years, and I was amazed at all of the updates and new exhibits that had been added.
After 8 hours and 13,000+ steps, we were all hot, sweaty, and exhausted. But it was the perfect way to spend the day and enjoy some family time before the school year starts in two weeks.
My Favorite Finds
I bought two more of these garlands to add to my Christmas decor this year. It’s the best, but sells out QUICKLY! If you love it, don’t wait to snag it.
And, because I can’t wait for the holidays, I also got the matching wreath.
These deodorizers have been a saving grace for my daughter’s sweaty shoes and husband’s gym bag.
I use these in our dryer (and they’re a #1 best seller!)
I own and love this caddy to help organize my spice cabinet
This Week On The Blog
This week I shared a few final summer posts, and a little sneak peek at what’s to come for the holidays. I’m so excited…Eek!
If you missed it, I shared a list of 5 simple ways you can get ready for Christmas now. It may seem early to some, but the holidays will be here before we know it.
If you’re looking for ways to get organized before all of the holiday and hustle ‘n bustle hits, be sure to check it out.
The end of the month meant a new round of supper club, and this month my friends and I shared table styling ideas and tips for hosting an unforgettable backyard BBQ.
And to round out the week, I shared a brand new recipe for our supper club barbecue menu.
These grilled steak and vegetable kabobs are an easy weeknight dinner option. Made with lots of colorful, fresh veggies and tender juicy steak, it’s a meal everyone will love.
Coming Next Week To MWLS
Next week I’ll be pushing the pause button on new blog content to catch my breath and get our family ready for back to school.
But I’ll be back in two weeks with a delicious new recipe and hopefully a new DIY, so stay tuned.

Velvet Christmas Wreath
I know, I know. December is still several months away, but this week’s Christmas in July post has me so excited for the holidays, so I thought I’d share some more Christmas ideas with you from a few of my friends.

Christmas Popcorn
My friend Heidi at Eleanor Rose Home shared her recipe for Christmas popcorn with white chocolate and sprinkles.

You don’t have to buy all new decorations each holiday season to deck the halls of your home in a new way. This week KariAnne at Thistlewood Farms shared her best tips for how to repurpose your Christmas decor.
She shared so many simple (and pretty) ideas. I don’t know why I didn’t think of some of them sooner!
