Week In Rewind With Midwest Life And Style
Happy Saturday, friend! It’s time for our weekly chit-chat and a new edition of the week in rewind.
I love these posts where I share more about our lives and some of the things happening behind the scenes here at MWLS. I hope you enjoy them too.
This week was one of my favorite weeks here on the blog…home tour week! I look forward to these tours each season.
This is the second time I have shared our home styled for summer (you can see last year’s tour HERE). Let me just say, if you haven’t seen the newest tour yet you are in for a treat.
Here’s what you may have missed this week at MWLS.
Tidbits From Home
Last weekend we enjoyed Harper’s dance recital. It was equal parts fun and exhausting. As a self-proclaimed “newbie” dance mom, I have a whole new respect for parents who spend their time at dance competitions every weekend!
Exhaustion aside, It made me smile to her shine on stage and do what she loves. Dance is her biggest passion, and I am so happy that she has found something that sparks joy.
We go to share part of the weekend with my parents. And Kirk’s parents also made the trip all the way from Colorado.
And we capped off a successful recital weekend with some celebratory cupcakes.
My Favorite Finds
I’m in love with this new find for the kitchen.
This rug has been a favorite of mine for years and is currently on SALE!
I am forever losing my sunglasses and love this cute and affordable option.

Patriotic Summer Home Tour
This week I was honored to join a group of friends for the Blogger’s Best Summer Home Tour.
I shared a peek at several rooms in our home along with simple and affordable ideas for styling your home with red, white, and blue decor this summer.
The tour spans coast to coast and includes a mix of styles from coastal chic to patriotic decor, classic southern charm, and more. There is something for everyone.
If you missed it, I’d love to have you stop by and let me know what you think. So get comfy, grab your favorite summer beverage, and come on over to see more from the tour.
Another Red, White, And Blue Favorite
Last week I shared a throwback post, so I thought it would be fun to share another with you this week, too.
If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook, the photo of this salad may look familiar. But it’s so good! I felt like it deserved some more love here on the blog.
Drizzled with a creamy poppy seed dressing and loaded with fresh berries, this summer berry spinach salad is a perfect dish to serve for the 4th or on a hot and steamy summer day.
What’s Coming Next To Midwest Life And Style
Next week will be a busy week with THREE brand new posts planned.
On Tuesday, I will be teaming up with a group of blogging friends to share more summer decor ideas and DIYs.
Then on Thursday and Saturday, I will be joining my friends from supper club for our monthly party. We will have new tablescapes to share and a delicious summer-inspired menu.
I don’t want to give too much away about this month’s theme, but here is a hint. If you like all things tropical, this month’s party is one you won’t want to miss!
