9 Easy DIY Projects To Kick Off Spring
The gorgeous weather this week has kicked my spring fever into full drive. With the change in seasons, I’ve been working on writing down a list of home projects and spring crafts I’d like to tackle. Some fun. Some not so fun (like cleaning out and organizing our garage).
I look forward to sharing more with you in the coming weeks. But, in the meantime, today I’ve rounded up 9 easy DIY projects to help you kick off spring.
Easy Grapevine Topiary
Have you fallen in love with those pretty topiaries in stores but not fallen in love with the price tag? Yeah. Me, too.
Well, Rachel at The Ponds Farmhouse shows you how to get the look for less with her DIY grapevine topiary. This simple craft takes less than 30 minutes and is an easy way to transition your home decor for spring.
Miniature Bee Skep
How cute is this mini bee skep from Cindy at County Road 407? This decorative spring piece looks adorable styled as part of her garden tablescape.
It would also be pretty styled on a tiered tray, or style it on a hutch or table with some spring greenery.
Spring Door Basket
This DIY spring door basket is one of my most popular projects and one of my favorites. It’s a budget-friendly DIY that anyone can do and a perfect way to add a touch of spring to your home.
The basket is a unique alternative to a traditional wreath and can be refreshed for other seasons, too. (You can see how I used faux flowers to create a fall version HERE.)
Architectural Salvage Wall Vase
Wall vases are a big trend in home decor right now. They come in a variety of colors, sizes, and styles. And they can be hung in any room in your home.
If you’d like to try this trend with a DIY twist, check out my friend Robyn at Robyn’s French Nest. She shares how to make some wall vases with architectural salvage in just three easy steps!
They are a fun (and affordable) way to add some spring decor to your home. Just hang the vases and fill them with some faux tulips or pretty spring stems.
Spring Home Decor Ideas
Carol over at Bluesky at Home shows you how to use one stencil to create three different crafts that will have you thinking spring.
These projects are great for any level of DIYer. And they’d make a simple hostess gift for Easter or a beautiful homemade Mother’s Day gift.
Criss Cross Outdoor Planters
Are you ready to get outside and plant? Brendt from She Gave It A Go shared her easy idea to spruce up your porch with these DIY criss cross planters.
Head over to Brendt’s blog to see her easy step-by-step tutorial, and be sure to tell her that I sent you.
Easy Ideas For A Container Garden
Are you looking for some gardening inspiration? Stacy at Bricks ‘n Blooms is your girl. If you haven’t visited her blog before and seen her beautiful flower beds, prepare to be wowed!
But you don’t need a big yard or outdoor space to create beautiful container gardens like Stacy did here with these copper beauties.
Check out her post to get all of her gardening tips. She shares how to pick the best plants and flowers, how to design your planters, and some simple plant care tips, too.
Vintage Chicken Feeder Planter
If you love vintage decor as much as I do, then Sarah over at Blessed Crazy Texas Nest is one to follow.
Sarah combined her love for gardening and vintage style to create a planter from an old chicken feeder. And you won’t believe how much she bought the feeder for. What a steal!
Head over to Sarah’s page to get her tutorial and tips to make your own DIY planter this spring.
Farmhouse Cement Look Alike Planters
I love the look of neutral cement planters. But they can be pricey! And HEAVY. And not very practical. Especially if you are like me and forever spending hours lugging planters to and from storage.
Jessica from Itty Bitty Farmhouse has a great dupe…a DIY faux cement planter that looks just like the real deal!
Go and see what she used to transform some simple plastic planters and how she did it on a budget.
