12 Gorgeous Farmhouse Floor Tiles
Recently, I shared on Instagram that we’ll be starting a master bathroom remodel in a few short weeks. On the “to-do” list is a fresh coat of new paint, vanity hardware, an updated light fixture, and new tile floors. When looking for tile for our bathroom remodel I fell in love with all of the farmhouse floor tile options, so today I’m sharing a roundup of 12 gorgeous farmhouse floor tiles.
- Twenties Vintage / This beautiful print is sure to be a farmhouse classic.
- Carolina Timber Grey / Wood-look tile is a popular flooring choice, and I love the gray tones in this tile.
- Arte Black / If you’re looking for a darker print, this tile is a pretty option.
- Retro Hex / I love the unique hexagon shape, and the distressed color gives this tile the look and feel of old barn wood.
- White Herringbone / Herringbone floor tile is a gorgeous pattern that instantly adds charm to any space.
- Statuary Hexagon / This hexagon tile adds the beauty of a marble tile without the price tag.
- Paloma / A great tile option for bathrooms, kitchens, or even laundry rooms!
- Rustic Bridge White / If you love the rustic look, this tile choice is perfect.
- Sintra Silver / This pretty gray pattern offers a more subtle print than some of the black and white choices.
- Carrara Hexagon / I love this fun hexagon patterned tile. The small tiles make a big impact.
- Kolasus White / This is another gorgeous tile choice that works for a variety of rooms and styles.
- Kings Star Nero / My favorite printed tile! I love the star pattern and the worn, vintage look.
Choosing Tile That is Right For You
Before choosing tile, it’s important to consider not only the design but the functionality. Each type of tile has pros and cons, so you should do your research before making a purchase.
Porcelain Tile
Porcelain is a very durable type of tile and a great choice for a bathroom. It’s also low maintenance, moisture resistant, and simple to clean.
Ceramic Tile
We will be using a ceramic tile for our bathroom remodel. It is more porous than porcelain, but it is also the more budget-friendly of the two types of tile. It is easy to care for and perfect for other rooms of the house, including kitchens, and laundry rooms.
Natural Stone Tile
Stone tile is beautiful, but it can have its setbacks. Some type of stone requires sealers to help protect against spills and stains. Stone tile is also more prone to scratches and other damage from normal wear and tear.
To DIY or Not To DIY
The decision to DIY your own tile floor depends on your skill level and how much time you have to complete the project. Knowing that I am short on both skills and time, we will be asking for help with our tile floor installation. Hey, sometimes ya gotta know your limits, right? And at this time, laying a tile floor is mine. *Note, If you’re an old pro who is reading this…teach me your ways!
If you’re a beginner who would like to try your hand a laying tile, I did find [THIS] article from the DIY Network and [THIS] article from The Home Depot that both do a great job of explaining the step-by-step process.
