Tidbits from Home
School’s been in session for about a month now, and we’re finally settling into our usual routine with work, sports, and everyone’s hectic schedules.
Kirk’s mom came to visit us from Colorado during Labor Day, and it was so much fun having her here.
The weather couldn’t have been more perfect while she was visiting, so she took the girls to explore our local zoo for a fun day out.
Peyton is still focused on recovering from her injury and has been working hard with her physical therapist. She’s making great progress and has even gotten back on the court in a limited role, mostly serving.
We’re all looking forward to the day she can play full-time again—it’s coming soon!
On Monday, we hosted the volleyball team for a big spaghetti feed at our house.
Let me tell you, it was fun, but also a lot of work!
I joked that I had a spaghetti hangover for a few days afterward.
This weekend, my parents came for a quick visit, which was such a nice surprise.
We had a girls’ night out at the Husker volleyball game on Friday and yesterday they even got to watch Peyton’s team play in an out-of-town tournament.
After getting home from the tournament, we wrapped up the day by cheering on the Husker football team in our PJs from the comfort of our couch.
We ordered in pizza and crashed early after a long, busy day.
