Tidbits from Home
I had some exciting news I’d been waiting to share, but with all the end-of-the-school-year craziness, it completely slipped my mind!
Remember a few weeks back when I mentioned being a finalist in the American Farmhouse Style tablescape contest?
Well, they recently announced the winner, and guess what?
My summer peach table was selected!
I am SO excited and honored.
Thank you to everyone who voted, and has sent me congratulatory wishes since I shared the announcement on the MWLS Facebook page.
I am currently working with the magazine’s editor to iron out the details, but I hope to know soon when the table will be featured in their magazine.
Stay tuned!
Thursday was a busy day with more end-of-the-school-year events.
We attended two different school art shows to see Peyton’s drawings and photography from the year.
First, we attended the high school art show to see a few of her drawings from this past semester.
Peyton also had two pieces of art selected for the district-wide show, so after we wrapped up at her high school we went to find her art at the district building.
We ended the night with dinner out and Crumbl cookies…of course, I forgot to snap a family photo, but it was a nice way to end a busy week.
My Favorite Finds
We’ve been doing yard work this weekend, so I’m thinking about all things gardening! Here are a few of my favorite garden and outdoor decor finds from the week
My birthday is creeping up soon, and these are on my wishlist to spruce up our backyard fence.
We’re also planning to install some of these on our fence too.
I love the pattern of this indoor/outdoor rug, and it’s available in multiple colors and sizes!
This outdoor lawn game is a favorite in our family and is perfect for summertime entertaining.
I’ve got my eye on these Adirondack chairs for creating the perfect firepit seating area.

When it comes to recipes, you know that I love quick and easy.
And with just 15 minutes of prep work, you can easily toss this side dish together whenever you’re in a pinch for time.
This creamy bacon ranch pasta salad is the ONLY side dish you’ll need this summer.
With a creamy ranch dressing mix, tender peas, cheddar cheese, and bits of savory bacon, there’s a reason this is one of the top recipes on MWLS.
It is that good!
And if you’re planning on throwing a BBQ over Memoiral Day weekend, or need inspiration for your 4th of July celebration, I shared my favorite tips for hosting a festive red, white, and blue BBQ party.
Get inspiration for styling your table, creating a simple patriotic centerpiece, and ideas for what food to serve at your party!
