How to Make DIY Football Drink Stir Sticks
Not only are these DIY football drink stirrers easy on your wallet, but they’re also simple to make.
Yes, even for you, my self-proclaimed non-crafty friends.
If you can handle a can of spray paint and wield a hot glue gun, you can make these custom stir sticks for the big game!
Step 1: Paint the Wood Circles
Before you begin, make sure you have all of the necessary materials on hand.
Grab your spray paint can and give one side of the circle a good coat.
Let it dry completely, then flip it over and do the same on the back.
I did two coats on each side, so repeat as necessary until no more wood is showing through.
I chose a deep green color to coordinate with my Super Bowl tablescape, but you can personalize your football drink stir sticks however you’d like.
Have fun and get creative with your stirring sticks—match them to your party decorations or coordinate with the teams playing in the big game!
TIP FROM JEN: Be sure to paint your wood circles outdoors or in a well-ventilated space.
Avoid painting in direct sunlight and hot and humid weather.
Always read the label on your can of paint and allow plenty of time between applications to ensure your paint is completely dry.
Step 2: Add Football, Helmet, or Team Logo Stickers
Once the paint is dry, Use stickers to add footballs, helmets, or any other logos that represent football.
Or if you’re in a creative mood, you can hand paint a football or team logo on your drink stir sticks, too.
And, if you’re feeling extra crafty, add some sparkle by using glitter or metallic accents.
Step 3: Glue the Drink Stir Sticks
To finish your DIY drink stirrers, add a dab of hot glue to the back of a wood circle.
Then carefully attach the ball end of the drink stir stick.
Let dry and that’s it!
Keep repeating the process to create as many drink stir sticks as you need for your football party!
Easy-peasy, right?
And I think they turned out perfectly, don’t you?
