Irresistibly Good Creamy Fruit Dip
‘Tis the season for charcuterie boards. But no board is complete without some dip! Ditch the store-bought stuff and make this easy-peasy fruit dip instead. You only need 4 ingredients and less than 10 minutes to whip up this light, creamy dip recipe.
Pair it with your favorite fresh fruits to make a festive fruit wreath for the perfect party appetizer or dessert for a New Year’s Charcuterie party or any holiday gathering.
Ingredients For Creamy Fruit Dip
- 8-ounce block cream cheese softened
- 2/3 cup confectioner’s sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
How To Make Fruit Dip
Grab a medium-sized mixing bowl and your hand mixer or a stand mixer. To make the fruit dip, beat the cream cheese for about 3 minutes until it’s smooth and creamy.
Using the whisk attachment on your stand mixer, or with the beaters in your hand mixer, combine the whipping cream, vanilla, and confectioners’ sugar. Beat the mixture for 4-6 minutes, or until stiff peaks form.
Gently fold the whipped cream into the softened cream cheese until just combined. Avoid overmixing to maintain a light and airy texture. Cover the mixture and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
Voila! Your creamy fruit dip is ready to steal the show!
Can This Fruit Dip Be Made Ahead?
No matter the occasion, this cream cheese fruit dip is a go-to crowd-pleaser. Beyond the holiday season, it’s great for just about any gathering including a book club brunch, wedding and baby showers, a Mother’s Day luncheon, and more!
While I love how quick and easy it is to make, you can also make it in advance if you’re planning ahead.
Prepare your creamy fruit dip the day before for effortless and low-stress hosting. Simply keep it covered in the refrigerator until you’re ready to serve.
What To Serve With Your Fruit Dip
Wondering what to serve with your dip (beyond fruit, of course?)
While apples, fresh berries, and grapes are all great for dipping, here are a few other foods you can enjoy with your creamy fruit dip:
- Balance the sweetness – serve your dip with salty pretzel sticks or crackers.
- Elevate the experience – cut up bite-sized slices of pound cake or angel food cake
- Indulge in brunch classics – enjoy your dip with fluffy pancakes, perfectly browned waffles, and decadent French toast sticks.

My mom used to make something similar but used marshmallow fluff. I’m thinking I need to try your version with the whipping cream ASAP! This sounds like something I’d love to use to dip pretzels and potato chips too… Pinned!
