Week In Rewind With Midwest Life And Style Volume 54
Happy Saturday, friends!
After back-to-back weekends of traveling, it was a bit slow going here again on the blog.
While my main focus has been getting caught up on life (and laundry), I did manage to squeeze in some time to share one new post on Tuesday.
In today’s recap, I’m also sharing a few “oldie but goodie” posts for spring crafts and recipes from years past.
And, of course, I can’t forget all the ideas and inspiration I found for you from a few of my blogging friends.
So grab a cup of something cozy, settle in, and catch up with the latest week in rewind!
Tidbits From Home
First the first time in a few weeks, I’m writing to you from the comforts of home! Last weekend we were in Kansas City for a national qualifier club volleyball tournament.
Peyton’s team made it to the gold bracket on day three before losing a heartbreaking match that went extra points in a tightly contested 3rd set.
The loss meant the team just missed out on earning a bid. But they still placed 5th overall in their division and played their best volleyball of the season.
Although we had fun, it feels good to get a break from all our club volleyball travels.
And I don’t think I’m the only one who is happy. Can you tell that Sadie’s glad to be back in her own bed and not spending time at the kennel?
Yesterday we spent our Good Friday out at the track for another meet. It was a beautiful day (other than the wind).
And my family came to watch Peyton compete, which made the day extra fun.
In non-sports news, things are starting to green up here. The trees are starting to bud, and I even noticed some flowers starting to poke through in my flower beds.
I can’t wait until they start to bloom. Have things started to bloom where you are?
My Favorite Finds
This pretty initial pendant would make a great graduation or Mother’s Day gift
My friend Kelly influenced me to buy this hobnail planter and I love it! (p.s. It might make an appearance in my next supper club tablescape)
These drinking glasses are fun and have great reviews
I can’t wait to start gardening this spring and currently have this handy tool in my shopping cart
I have and love these fridge organizers for our drinks…and they are currently on sale
More Favorites From Amazon
I am always adding new finds to my Amazon storefront, so be sure to stop by and check out my latest curated collections, including all my favorite decor finds!
P.s. Did you know that I earn a small commission each time you click on a shoppable link in one of my posts and buy something? (Even if what you purchase is not the item I have linked.)
I am so thankful when you shop using my links. It helps keep my blogging dream alive and my little corner of the web up and going.
This Week On The Blog
On Tuesday I shared a round-up filled with 15 different kitchen decor and DIY ideas.
The round-up has a bit of everything, and includes this post where I shared how I gave new life to our old kitchen table for cheap!
There are also tips for decorating above your cabinets, styling open shelves, decorating your counters, painting your cabinets, and more.
If you have been thinking about making updates to your kitchen, then this post is a must-read!
After lots of yo-yo-ing temps, it seems like spring has finally arrived here in Nebraska. I can’t wait to get out and plant in a few weeks.
If you’re dreaming about flowers and gardening too, check out my post with tips to create spring planters like the pros.
Or learn how to plant a patio herb garden and grow your own fresh herbs at home.
And, with potluck and picnic season upon us, I thought it would be fitting to share one of my all-time favorite side dishes.
This creamy broccoli salad is always a crowd-pleaser. Tossed with a sweet dressing and loaded with crispy bacon, raisins, and sunflower seeds, it’s pure heaven for your tastebuds!
