The Best Easy and Flavorful Herb Veggie Dip
When it comes to dip, here in the Midwest, ranch is king.
As far as dip recipes go, it’s iconic and the one party food that’s guaranteed to be at almost every Midwestern BBQ, picnic, or potluck.
And although I love a good ranch dip, this vegetable dip recipe is pretty much the best thing since sliced bread.
In my opinion, it’s the best veggie dip around.
It’s THAT good.
Yes, even better than ranch. (Midwestern friends, please don’t come for me!)
And with limited prep, it’s ready in no time.
Quick, simple, and delish, this veggie dip checks all the boxes.

Directions To Make Creamy Spring Herb Veggie Dip
Step 1: Soften your Cream Cheese
Just a quick tip before getting started.
To ensure a smooth and creamy veggie dip (because nobody enjoys lumps!), it’s best to soften the cream cheese first.
I usually leave my 8-ounce block out on the counter for about an hour, and it’s as easy as that!
If you need to soften the cream cheese faster, fill a large bowl with warm water, and place the unwrapped cream cheese in the water for about 10 minutes or until it’s soft.
Step 2: Blend Cream Cheese, Sour Cream, and Mayonnaise
After your cream cheese is soft, place the 8-ounce brick in a large mixing bowl, and add 1/2 cup each of sour cream and mayonnaise to the vegetable dip.
Then beat the mixture until smooth.
To make this easy veggie dip, I typically use my hand mixer since it is more convenient, but you can use a stand mixer too.
Once the mixture is well blended, set the bowl aside and prep the remaining ingredients for your vegetable dip.
Step 3: Chop Scallions and Herbs
Start by using a paring knife to mince 3-5 scallions.
I only used 3 for my dip recipe, but feel free to add more for a stronger onion kick!
Next wash and mince 1/4 cup fresh parsley and 2 tablespoons fresh dill.
Then add the minced scallions and herbs to the veggie dip mixture with 1 teaspoon each of salt and black pepper.
Gently stir in the scallions, parsley, dill, salt, and pepper until combined.
Then chill your homemade veggie dip until you are ready to eat it.
Tip from Jen’s Kitchen: The longer the veggie dip chills the better the flavor. I recommend letting it chill in the fridge for at least one hour before serving.
