Week In Rewind With Midwest Life And Style
Happy Monday, friends!
You will have to forgive me for running late again. Between a busy schedule and a case of the “blahs,” I was really on the writing struggle bus this past week.
But, in spite of some serious writer’s block, I managed to finish two new posts, including a DIY wreath for Easter and a new drink recipe that is perfect for the upcoming holiday and all of your spring celebrations.
So grab some coffee, settle in, and let’s catch up with the latest week in rewind!
Tidbits From Home
Does it feel like spring where you live? It has still been sooo darn cold here in Nebraska. We are used to extreme weather this time of year, but somehow our recent cold stretch has felt extra harsh.
Although I shouldn’t complain too much. We missed out on most of the snow that other parts of the state have seen lately. And thankfully it looks like there is a warmup in the forecast. Hellooooo sunshine!
Speaking of spring, Kirk and the girls were on spring break last week. Meanwhile, I still had to work. Sigh. So, I lived vicariously through daily text messages with updates on the happenings at home.
Although we didn’t go anywhere, they enjoyed their staycation and kept plenty busy. On Monday, Peyton passed her driver’s test and earned her permit. And on Wednesday my crew hit up Prehistoric Putt for some mini golf action.
We wrapped up the weekend with Peyton’s first Varsity track meet, and a day full of volleyball on Sunday.
Oh, and I also finished photographing our home for my spring tour. I will be sharing my tour on Tuesday, but in the meantime, here is a sneak peek
