Week In Rewind With Midwest Life And Style
The weekend is here, and you know what that means! It’s time for the latest week in rewind!
It was a BUSY week, to say the least, with plenty of new posts here on the blog. I shared some new holiday recipes, thrifty decor ideas, and more! And, as always, I also rounded up some of the best ideas and inspiration from a few of my friends, too.
So get yourself a cup of coffee or tea, get cozy, and let’s catch up on everything that happened lately here on MWLS.
Tidbits From Home
Can you believe that Christmas is less than a week away? It seems like the season has flown by! Even with some of the stress that comes with all the holiday prep and planning, I’m always sad when it’s over.
Speaking of Christmas, how is your to-do list coming? I’m done shopping, but there are still presents to wrap and baking that may or may not get finished. I always say I’m going to plan ahead…and every year, I’m scrambling to get it all done.
I guess there’s next year, right?
Christmas to-do’s aside, we had a fun week here that included a trip to the NCAA volleyball final four and national championship.
This year’s tournament was just up the road from us in Omaha, so I’m lucky my wonderful mother-in-law snagged us some tickets.
Our Huskers didn’t make it to the championship this year, but we saw some amazing volleyball and had so much fun.
We’d love to go again and have already marked our calendar for 2024, when the tournament is in Louisville, Kentucky.
And while some of us enjoyed volleyball, Harper got to spend a fun night at the children’s zoo for their annual zoo lights. Hot cocoa, animals, and a train ride made for the best night!
My Favorite Finds
This is my favorite storage container to organize Christmas bows, ribbons, and gift tags.
These are perfect for keeping all your holiday lights untangled.
This basket is the best thing ever and saves me extra trips up and down the stairs.
If you despise ironing as much as me this is a lifesaver.
This adorable plaid shacket.

This Week On The Blog
This week on the blog, I shared four new posts (five if you count today). So, if you happened to miss out, there’s plenty to catch up on!
This bacon onion and cheese tart is part quiche, part pizza, and pure heaven for your tastebuds! Easy to make with only a handful of ingredients, you can serve it for dinner, or even breakfast or brunch.
It was my first time making this recipe, but it won’t be my last!
On Thursday, I shared a new cozy winter tablescape that’s perfect for a wine and cheese dinner party or a New Year’s Eve celebration.
And I also joined the ladies from thrifting with the gals to look back at some of their best posts from the past year and share some thrifty decor ideas with you.
And, if you missed it on Saturday, I joined my friends from supper club to share our latest menu for a wine and cheese dinner party. We’ve taken the hard work out of planning. All you need to do is cook and enjoy!

Coming Next Week To MWLS
Next week I’ll be wrapping up the holiday season before taking a short break to enjoy Christmas with my family.
On Tuesday I’ll be joining a few blogging friends to share a candlelight home tour. And later in the week I’ll be sharing some last minute gift wrapping ideas along with some free holiday printables.
